Talent Rediscovery

Talent Rediscovery lets you find the most relevant candidates for a specific job by scanning your entire uploaded candidate database. This includes candidates uploaded for different jobs and those linked directly to the selected role, so strong profiles already in your system are never overlooked when a new role opens up.

Tip

Always run Talent Rediscovery before sourcing new candidates for a role. The right person may already be in your database.

How to Run Talent Rediscovery

There are two ways to start Talent Rediscovery for a job.

Method 1: From the Jobs List

1. Navigate to 'Jobs' from the left sidebar.
2. Locate the job role you want to find candidates for.
3. Click the three-dots 'Actions' menu on that job row.
4. Select 'Rediscover Candidates'.

Method 2: From Inside a Job

1. Open the job by clicking on its title.
2. Click the three-dots menu in the top-right area of the job workspace, next to the 'Upload Resumes' button.
3. Select 'Rediscover Candidates'.

Once you click 'Rediscover Candidates', a modal will appear with options to narrow down which candidates are included in the scan before running it.

Segments lets you optionally select a candidate segment to limit the rediscovery to a specific group of candidates rather than scanning your full database.

Candidate Created Date controls how far back the scan looks based on when candidates were added to your database. Available options are All time, Last 6 months, Last 1 year, and Custom range if you want to define a specific date window.

Click 'Apply' to start the scan. Skima AI will begin scanning the selected candidate pool against the job's requirements.

You can close the window after clicking Apply and check the status later. A notification will appear once the rediscovery is complete. Refresh the page to view the updated results.

Viewing Rediscovered Candidates

Once Skima AI completes the scan, the View Candidates tab for the job will show a ranked list of matched candidates from across your database. You can see the total number of matched candidates at the top and scroll through each profile to review their AI matching score, experience, skills, and fit against the job description.

Filtering and Refining Results

Rediscovery results can be further refined using the filters available in the View Candidates tab to shortlist candidates more precisely.

Available filters include Industry, Work Mode (Remote, Hybrid, On-site), Experience Level, Notice Period, Location, and Salary Range.

Start with broader filters and gradually narrow them down to avoid missing strong candidates.

Tip Run Talent Rediscovery regularly as your candidate database grows. Candidates who were not a strong fit for a previous role may be exactly right for a new one.

Automating Talent Rediscovery

Instead of running rediscovery manually each time, you can configure Skima AI to automatically scan your database whenever a new job is created.

Navigate to 'Settings' → 'Preferences' → 'General' and toggle on 'Automatically Rediscover Candidates When a New Job is Created'.
